"Harlem" Emulation Poem

Everyone has a dream for their future.  Langston Hughes wrote a poem entitled "Harlem" to encourage the African Americans who migrated there to not give up on their dreams.  Here are our attempts at emulating his poem for our own.

What happens to an ambition achieved?

Does it shine like a chandelier?
Or does it gleam when the sun hits the ocean?

Does it feel satisfied like you’ve arrived at the top of the mountain?
Or does it feel like a tiny mountain?

Maybe it just needs an existence like
how flowers need water to be able to bloom.

Or does it soothe you when looking at the moon and wholly noiseless?

What happens to an ambition achieved?

Does it shine like the stars in the night sky?
Or shines in the morning like the morning sun?

Does it worth like your sweats doing workouts ?
Or smiles like someone does when meeting good people?

Maybe it lightens your life like the a sun does when facing you.
Or does it make you feel more proud of yourself?

    What happens to abandoned aspirations?
Does it hurt like something bad?
    Or something embarrassing?
Does it smell like chicken ?
    Or tastes like cotton candy?
Maybe it feels like playing video games.
Or does it ache like a broken heart?

What happens to an ambition achieved?
Does it complete the party like a perfect cake?
    Or tastes like cotton candy?
Does it smell like your favorite perfume??
Or sparkles like your eyes at night?
Maybe it brightens like the sun in a perfect blue sky.
Or does it shine like your smile?

  5. what happen to an ambition achieve ?
Does it take so long like your combing your long hair?
Does it hurt like you putting you hand on fire?
does it better when you burn your hand and than put it in ice?
or maybe you're cries because it's hurd.
or you're stop cries because it cold now.
or does it went well like your grade went very well when you're a hard worker?
